NY Librarian recommends Gentleman Bastard series

Joshua Soule, Senior Librarian at the New York Public Library’s Spuyten Duyvil branch, published a list of recommended books based on favorite Game of Thrones characters. If you like Petyr Baelish’s conniving, Locke Lamora is for you!

Who hasn’t found themselves rooting for Lord Littlefinger, even just a little? Devious, wily, cunning, diabolical are all adjectives for our favorite Westerosian bad boy. They also describe the protagonist of Scott Lynch’s Gentlemen Bastards [sic] series, Locke Lamora. Locke is raised as a supreme con artist by Father Chains, set on a path to balance the scales of life against the wealthy and powerful. He is Baelish with morals and loyalty to his friends.

Geek Bomb video chat with Scott Lynch

Geek Bomb‘s latest “Book Club” video chat was dedicated to The Lies of Locke Lamora and featured Scott as well as friends from over at ‘Thieves Prosper’. Scott discusses the making of the first opus, gives a quick update about the progress of The Thorn of Emberlain (might be finished in the next couple of months!), talks titles (#6 may change…), and drops hints about the Sanzas’ sexual preferences!
Enjoy!
